Dear Church family, Thank you for your service last year in the areas of hospitality, fellowship and upkeep. These ministries are helpful in our being united on many fronts and all represent The River’s Edge to each other and to the community. Each promotes our purposes of magnifying the Lord, growing in spiritual maturity, committing to serving to one another, reaching out to those who are seeking something new for their lives (Jesus), and finding our calling to serve the body. Thank you for giving of yourselves this year and may the Lord bless your service. If you are new to these ministries and have questions, call Emily @ the office (453- 3435). If you are unable to fill your dates listed, call and switch with someone else on the schedule. If we all do our part things will run smoothly again this year. 2008-09 Family Fellowship Calendar

These are the dates for River’s Edge Family Fellowships. These fellowship meals are a key part of our being a family. The teams have an opportunity to serve our family and those visiting. Put some prayer and effort into making your time of service a reflection of your love for each other (Eph. 6:7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men,). The 1st name on your team will be the person to get the ball rolling. Call your other team members no later than 3 weeks before to decide when, where, and what you would kind of gathering you would like to have (cookout, dinner theatre, Italian theme, Mexican fiesta, soup-er supper, picnic, bonfire etc.) then let Dawn McCain (453-2272) know to put in the bulletin. As a team, your responsibilities for the event will be to call each other, plan, check the rink for supplies, set up, serve, and clean up. Mark your calendar and remember, if you can’t make it for the time you’re scheduled, call and switch with someone on a different date this is key to making these events work for everybody. It’s important not to ditch your team members.
