Greetings Brother & Sisters!

Today's text in our journey through 1 Corinthians takes a shift from Paul dealing with the idolatry of the Corinthians to the chaotic and unholy behavior in the actual church service.  He deals with head coverings, long hair, short hair, communion and the practice of spiritual gifts in the public church gathering.  Which by the way, was just assumed.  You gathered for church; something many professing Christians have lost in our day and age.

Today's text is considered the most puzzling section in all of scripture by many of the greatest scholars.  It was always taken literally, with most church denominations practicing obedience to what is commanded.  Women covered their heads in public worship, and no one dreamed of acting out in a manner that was opposite their gender.

Things have sadly changed.  Let us pray we gain the meaning of this passage today.
