Greetings Dear Church,

Today we come to the end of a cherished letter to the early Roman church.  The church has always needed teaching & correction.  We're no exception.  But we love the Holy Scriptures! 2 Tim. 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

After a bold talk, a child needs encouragement, given a belief that they're able to do all that has been instructed successfully.  Paul insures His sheep that He believes in them, that He is satisfied that God Almighty is at work within them!  Now he commends some of them by name!  Their names will be forever recorded in Holy Scripture! …in a good way!

The Key question for you this morning is this:  Where’s Your name? If anyone received encouragement it was those who heard their names read by the leader of the Roman church!  What an exciting Sunday morning that must have been nearly 2,000 years ago. I pray it is for you too, this very Day!

Because He was Born,

Pastor John
