Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The first thing Paul says to us in today’s section is, “What then shall we say to these things?”  (Romans 8:31).  It draws us to what we learned last week.  Then he continues the question by asking another question: If God is for us, who can be against us?”

So based on what we learned last week should give us the greatest confidence in our salvation!   In light of the truth of the Gospel what tribulation could even matter?  It’s as if Paul is saying, “If God is on your side as much as I’ve described, who can be against you or what could trouble you?”

Well, much troubles us in this life.  We have anxieties over many things and Paul exhorts the Romans and us to believe what we believe especially when things get difficult.  Paul tells us, “We are more than conquerers,” what could that mean?  He will explain today in our message entitled: “More Than Conquerers.”
